SEGA’s ”Retro Mini Version“ Arcade |
SEGA’s large arcade games were popular in 1970s~1980s. The "retro mini version" Astro City Mini is a scaled-down version of the original one. It has a lightweight and the size of a palm, 17 cm in height, 13 cm in width and 17 cm in depth. It retains the control method of the physical joystick and six circular buttons, and will return to the market again! Japanese’s major game developer Sega announced on its official website that it reproduces the mini handheld version of the Astro City video game that came out in 1993. It contains 36 classic titles. It is expected to be officially launched in Japan in December 2020. The suggested price is 12,800 yen (around USD$122). In order to let the players who like arcade games to relive their childhood memories, SEGA's new retro mini version Astro City Mini not only has a white shell with lime-green buttons, but also a small screen that emits decorative green light bars. At the same time, it also has an HDMI port that can output to the TV screen for play, 2 USB-A and 1 Micro USB port. It is expected to include as many as 36 classic titles that players are familiar with.
