Global amusement park market report 2019 |
The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and AECOM have just published the 2019 TEA/AECOM Theme Index and Museum Index, which provides comprehensive data on attendance and other statistics from the world’s top theme parks, water parks, and museums. The report pointed out that the total number of visitors to the world's top ten theme parks increased by 4% year-on-year to 521 million in 2019. Among the top 20 theme parks in various regions of the world, the overall operating performance in 2019 was stable, and theme park operators in the Asia-Pacific region continued to play a leading role in the world. Among them, OCT Group surpassed Universal Studios enters the top three global theme park groups with 53.97 million visits per year, followed closely behind the international giants Disney Group, Merlin Entertainments, while Beijing's Happy Valley, with 5.16 million visitors, ranks among the top 25 theme parks in the world.
