Ocean Park Hong Kong launched VR megadrop |
Ocean Park Hong Kong launched the first-ever Virtual Reality (VR) drop tower lately after one year’s R&D, and riders can experience VR Space Voyage now. After popping on a VR headset, riders will be transported into a 3D virtual world. While being lifted up 100 meters and down several times, rides immerse themselves in a space adventure on Titan, the largest moon of Saturn. The VR drop tower combines the story background of interstellar adventure, and you will search and collect mystery resources in space and protect your spaceship by smashing asteroids! Then, it's time to fly to Titan for an ultra-space mission. Beware! You'll plummet straight down to earth in just a few hair-raising seconds.
According to Ocean Park Hong Kong, it is taking another step in VR tourism after launching a VR roller coaster before. With a seven-figure HK dollar investment, the park is expected to attract more young people to visit and learn about the mechanics of the ride and knowledge of natural space. In the future, Ocean Park Hong Kong will enrich its VR images, change more different adventure scenes and bring new experiences to visitors. (2019/07/31) |
