The State Council Information Office held a press conference n December 14, 2018.  Mao Chaofeng, the Executive Vice Governor of Hainan Provincial People's Government, introduced Hainan's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up.  Mao Chaofeng said that Hainan has launched 12 pilot key projects, including the introduction of several world-renowned amusement park projects such as Hello Kitty.  According to People's Daily Online in April 2017, 9 projects in Haitang District, Sanya, Hainan Province would receive an investment of CNY 52.8 bn (USD 7.7bn).  These projects include Hello Kitty Theme Park and Resort Hotel.  Hainan Provincial Government held Seminar on Cooperation with Overseas Business on June 28, 2017.  More than 230 overseas businessmen from 20 countries and regions including the United States, Brazil and Australia were invited to attend the seminar.  Further information about the Hainan Hello Kitty Theme Park project was revealed at the seminar.  It was mentioned that the parent-child (tourism)-based Hello Kitty Theme Park project will be located in Haitang, Sanya.  The project is invested by Aim-Fortune Holding Group Limited, with a total investment of CNY 11 bn.
