A major waterfront retail and entertainment development is about to open in Kuwait. The Al Kout Mall has a marine life-themed entertainment centre, a cinema and go-kart track. It is due to open in the first quarter of 2018. The mall is built by the Tamdeen Group and covers 300,000sq.m with 360 shops, dining facilities and the Infunity Sea, the largest FEC in Kuwait. It has rides and activities including a roller coaster, drop tower, karting, climbing wall, arcade and soft play area. A 12-screen cinema operated by Cinescape has IMAX and 4DX systems and tenpin bowling. The karting track is the largest of its kind in the Middle East. The mall is part of the Al Kout project which is being developed on 1.6km of seafront in the Fahaheel district of the city. It is connected via a footbridge to the Al Kout Souq and a five-star hotel is going to be built there.
