The year 2018 will see some spectacular amusement developments opening in the United Arab Emirates.  Warner Brothers World will open in Abu Dhabi.  The US$1bn theme park in the centre of Yas Island, close to Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld, will have 29 major rides.  There will also be the world’s longest zip wire opening in Jebel Jais, the highest peak in the UAE and close to Ras Al Khaimah.  The length has not yet been released but it will apparently be longer than The Monster, 2,200m long, in Puerto Rico.  Also on schedule is the world’s tallest climbing wall, The Clymb, in Abu Dhabi - again on Yas Island - set to cost US$100m and 43m high.  The man-made Bluewaters Island close to Jumeriah Beach Residence will house the world’s largest Ferris wheel at over 210m high.
