The parliament of Latvia has reportedly decided on a fixed yearly fee of US$475k for the provision of Live Casino services from the country. The license fee will be implemented from January 1, 2018.The decision is an amendment to a decision that was previously made by the parliament and is set to replace a discussed variable fee of US$13.8k per live casino table every year. The decision was announced by Evolution Gaming, which specializes in live casino and dealer games.Earlier this year, the Riga City Council, capital of Latvia, voted in favour of prohibiting all slot halls in the district with the exception of those located in four and five-star hotels. The decision to close the 41 gaming halls in the area follows the ruling by the Supreme Court, which approved the rejection of a new venue for the old district by the City Council.
