A New Amusement Park Opens in Tunisia (2017/10/25) |
At the end of August in Sfax, Tunisia’s second largest city, a large amusement park was inaugurated, the city’s first. Sfax Land covers 18,000sq.m and its investor and operator is Zanadi Entertainment, a subsidiary of Lebanese giant Zanadi Holding, which also operates in Algeria and the Middle East. The park, costing over 22 million dinars (about 7.6 million euros), has classic rides for young people and families, including a Ferris wheel and a looping coaster. Of course there are also snack areas, as well as a pizzeria and restaurant (Le Mangetout) serving Tunisian, Lebanese and international cuisine. At Sfax Land admission is free, and users pay for each ride using a prepaid card. “We chose Sfax to fill the gap in terms of entertainment with respect to Tunis, Sousse and Djerba,” said Naim Hobeika, director general of Zanadi Entertainment during the press conference.
