For the game industry, it is certain that the market was dominated by mobile games in 2016. However, because competition have gone global and product management and making profits are not easy, it’s likely that more than half of game developers in the market would continue to record losses and deliver bad results. Based on the earnings releases for the first three quarters of 2016, IGS scored the highest profits and was the most expensive stock in the game category of the Taiwan stock market. Benefiting from both the mobile and commercial game sectors, the company reaped satisfactory growth. Its earnings per share for the first three quarters last year reached close to the par value per share at NT$9.55. If everything goes as expected, IGS’ earnings per share for the year 2016 could reach the stock’s face value per share. Fueled by the outstanding financial performance, the IGS stock has soared to NT$199 from NT$128.5 and its market valuation has winged its way to NT$13.87 billion at an annual growth rate of nearly 55%.
