For the game industry, it is certain that the market was dominated by mobile games in 2016. However, because competition have gone global and product management and making profits are not easy, it’s likely that more than half of game developers in the market would continue to record losses and deliver bad results. Based on the earnings releases for the first three quarters of 2016, IGS scored the highest profits and was the most expensive stock in the game category of the Taiwan stock market. Benefiting from both the mobile and commercial game sectors, the company reaped satisfactory growth. Its earnings per share for the first three quarters last year reached close to the par value per share at NT$9.55. If everything goes as expected, IGS’ earnings per share for the year 2016 could reach the stock’s face value per share. Fueled by the outstanding financial performance, the IGS stock has soared to NT$199 from NT$128.5 and its market valuation has winged its way to NT$13.87 billion at an annual growth rate of nearly 55%.
IGS’ products are marketed across the world, and its development and manufacturing capabilities and service are well-recognized by international industry members.
In addition to IGS, Taiwanese game companies that made profits in 2016 also include the industry leading game distributor Soft-World, the very active IP licensing company UserJoy, and the newly listed companies on the Taiwan OTC Exchange, FunYours Technology and Net Publishing. Apart from the above-mentioned five industry members, other Taiwanese game companies all reported losses. Moreover, IGS has signed up for GTI Asia Taipei Expo 2017 held on May 11-13 and will showcase a wide range of products such as AWPs, ticket redemption games, carnival games, kiddie rides and mobile phone games at its 360 square-meter booth. The company will launch the latest games and present many exciting products at the show. Global industry professionals are welcome to visit the IGS booth at GTI Asia Taipei Expo to further exchange and cooperate with this industry leading Taiwanese game company.
