ATRAX - the Amusement, Attraction, Park and Recreation Industry Services Exhibition, kicked off on December 1, 2016 at the Istanbul Expo Center, Istanbul, Turkey. Being the only professional trade event in the amusement and recreation industries in Turkey, the event garners amusement facility investors, game manufacturers and tourism project developers worldwide. It serves as a top-end networking platform for industry professionals coming from many countries around the world and facilitates transactions between exhibitors and buyers. With the arrival of December, the typical Christmas shopping season in Western nations is coming up and expected to bring vitality and business opportunities for the amusement market. The ATRAX organizer ingeniously placed a large-sized Christmas-themed crystal ball at the entrance of the show venue, creating a strong winter ambience.
Traversing Asia and Europe, Turkey offers an expansive marketplace; backed by such a massive market and a solid base of industry professionals, ATRAX has been growing gradually and becoming increasingly influential.
Straddling the continents of Asia and Europe, Turkey is home to the Turkish Straits connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea and is a maritime hub connecting southern Europe, West Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. The country is of great strategic significance and has geographical advantages for international trading. This year’s ATRAX gathered more than 130 exhibitors including Chinese companies like Movie Power Technology, DaxinWater Park Construction, Tecway/Mecpower and ChinaXiaofeixia Amusement Equipment. On the first day of the event, people started flowing in at 10 am and buyers from various countries and regions such as Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa and southern Europe walked around the show venue to purchase products.
Many Chinese exhibitors participated in the show and achieved satisfactory exhibition results with their products gaining good feedback from visitors.
GTI participates in multiple international amusement trade events each year and utilizes all 365 days in a year to promote GTI Expos to overseas industry members. ATRAX 2016 was GTI’s third stop for the overseas promotion of the two GTI Expos coming up in 2017. This time we sent out our special overseas exhibition representatives - Vita He and Skye Chen; they brought a large quantity of copies of the November Issue No. 148 of GTI Magazine to ATRAX to distribute on site. They also disseminated a lot of promotional materials for GTI Asia China Expo and GTI Asia Taiwan Expo 2017 and invited buyers to attend the two shows. The GTI representatives visited well-known Turkish amusement companies such as Polin Water Park and Cine Box and collected exclusive first-hand information about buyers and their purchase intentions. On site they also promoted the service of free accommodation for overseas visitors attending GTI Asia China Expo 2017 and a good number of professional overseas buyers have signed up for it.
