Organized by the Industrial Development Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan annually, the Digital Taipei will use S.M.A.R.T. (Smart, Mobile, App, VR/AR and Technology) as its themes this year and will take place on September 7-9 at Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center (2F).  Incorporating proficient lecturers from the Game Developers Conference and the Global Mobile Game Confederation (GMGC) as well as 500-plus one-on-one meetings for near 200 international buyers from more than 20 countries, the Digital Taipei aims to be a highly effective professional event dedicated to developing the digital content industry in Taiwan.  Through participating in the forum to absorb new knowledge and engaging in face-to-face talks with international buyers at the event, Taiwanese companies can greatly enhance their development capabilities and gain opportunities for global presence and expansion.  In addition, they can exchange the latest market intelligence with industry professionals from various countries and grasp industry trends and business opportunities.

This year’s Digital Taipei has specially arranged speeches by international experts from GDC on such topics as new technology development for VR games, product development and new market trends in order to let exhibitors gain new knowledge.  In addition to the booths, like in professional international exhibitions for displaying products, Digital Taipei has also planned an “Indie Festa” area and a business discussion area.  Inviting international buyers from various countries such as the US, ASEAN countries and China, the event will offer tremendous business opportunities and generate extensive global exposure.
