Regulators from 12 countries confirm their participation in the III Iberoamerican Gaming Summit (2016/05/10)

The foremost sectoral meeting in the gaming industry at the Iberoamerican brought together an important group of institutional representatives.  Regulators and authorities from 12 European and Latin American countries united in the III Iberoamerican Gaming Summit in Mexico City. 

 

 

 

The III Iberoamerican Gaming Summit welcomed again Luis Felipe Cangas, General Director of Gaming and Lotteries of Mexico; Carlos Hernández, General Director of Gaming Management of Spain and Eric Iván Ríos, Executive Secretary of the Gaming Control Board Panama.  As well as Javier Balbuena, Superintendent at the National Gaming Commission of Paraguay; Luís Coelho, Director and Coordinator of the Gaming Regulation and Inspection Service of Portugal and Marcos Ferrari, Undersecretary for Economic Micro-policies of Brazil, among other representatives.  In this edition, the Summit also counted on the participation of Rogelio Fonseca, President of the National Charity Lottery of El Salvador; Manuel San Román, General Director of Casino Gaming and Slots Perú; Andy Viera, Director at the Gaming Division of Puerto Rico; Luis Gama, National Director of Lotteries and Betting of Uruguay, and Rafael Jáquez Hernández, Director of Casinos and Games of Chance of the Dominican Republic.  Moreover, the Argentinian market was represented by Néstor Cotignola, Executive Director of CIBELAE (Iberoamerican Corporation of State Lotteries).  During May 17th and 18th, all of them, along with the most relevant actors of the industry, debated and conversed about the current situation of the gaming sector and its perspectives in the Iberoamerican market.  The final program was available at the Iberoamerican Gaming Summit’s website, www.cumbreiberoamericanadeljuego.com  With this important institutional and international support, the Summit consolidated its role as a reference point and a remarkable platform for discussion in the gaming industry, aiming to define an Iberoamerican gaming diplomacy. 

 

The III Iberoamerican Gaming Summit was organized by JAK Comunicación, and counted on the support of the Mexican and Spanish authorities through the General Directorate for Gaming and Lotteries of the Secretariat of the Interior of Mexico (SEGOB), and the Directorate-General for Gambling Management, part of the Spanish Ministry for Finance and Public Administration.  The three Mexican gaming associations - AGEM, AIEJA and APJSAC – as well as ICEX and the international firm Kreab, were also collaborators.
