Bandai Namco takes over Tokyo Akihabara Arcade |
On March 1, Famous Japanese Bandai Namco moved into the landmark Akihabara Arcade in Japan's capital, which is also the first Bandai Namco arcade in this region. The new arcade from Bandai Namco is stocked with classics from the company's catalogue, such as Tekken and Mario Kart.
The Akihabara Arcade was formerly owned by Sega and had been empty in recent years following its closure, meaning Bandai Namco was helping to bring the popular entertainment format back to the area. B
andai Namco plans to open other stores alongside the arcade, such as one dedicated to its trading card games and another for capsule toys and claw machines. Bandai Namco expanded its business in this tier 1 business district. (2023/03/09)
