Great Wolf Resorts is North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts, and through its subsidiaries and affiliates, owns and operates family resorts under the Great Wolf Lodge brand. Recently, this Chicago-based company issued a statement about planning its water park resort in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. 

According to the statement, a half-million new visitors will be attracted to the region annually once the project is completed. Great Wolf Lodge water park resort will provide a carefree escape for families looking to strengthen their pack, along with job creation and increased visitor spending in the communities.According to the source, this is a long-term project with $350-million investment that likely won’t have the resort open until some point in 2026. 

It would have upwards of five restaurants, improved in-room services, and local residents would be able to purchase day passes for the facility. This water park resort would also have a regional impact benefitting other attractions already here, a generational opportunity would have significant positive impact not only locally, but throughout eastern Ontario, including Ottawa, Brockville, Kingston, and notably Upper Canada Village and the Parks of the St. Lawrence. It’s also worth mentioning that it would be the company’s first corporately-owned resort in Canada, that the most updated, state-of-art facility would be built here, with expanded offerings on some of the company’s earlier resorts. 

The Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls, Ont., is owned and operated by The Jim Pattison Group, which has exclusive franchise rights to the brand in Canada. (2023/01/12)
