Sandbox VR is launching its first venue in the UK, located in the English capital of London. It offers a futuristic immersive experience that promises to take group VR gaming and competitive socialising to the next level. Once guests walk through the venue’s doors, the company says they will “be hit with a fully immersive environment, diving into a high energy social space”. There are several experiences available to patrons, including a zombie survival game, space elevator experience and a group combat feature. Sandbox VR is powered by motion capture cameras, 3D body trackers, custom hardware and haptic feedback suits. Unlike some VR arcades that use generic platform management systems to offer players immersive titles from a range of developers, it is one of the few operators that has its own exclusive titles like Amber Sky and Deadwood Mansion.
