ICN will introduce Smart Racing Park in 2025 |
South Korea’s Incheon International Airport (ICN) is set to open a new theme park in 2025, named the “Smart Racing Park” with an area of 241,500sq.ft. It has been tipped to attract one million visitors in its first year and become an eye-catching new attraction in South Korea. Construction for the project is slated to begin relatively soon, at ICN’s Business Complex 1 area. The main attraction will be “gravity racing,” said the airport’s corporate arm, which is a form of sport entertainment in which patrons can enjoy speeds of up to 25mph on a vehicle developed by Monolith INC. Kim Kyung-Wook, President & CEO of Incheon International Airport Corporation said: “I expect the smart racing park will not only generate new air travel demand, necessary for overcoming the current crisis but also provide overseas and Korean tourists with the innovative entertainment only available at Incheon Airport. Incheon International Airport will transform itself into the art and culture hub, creating the values exceeding the functionalities as an airport, based on the differentiated contents.” (2021/12/14)
