North Yorkshire Water Park adds new zip line |
UK’s North Yorkshire Water Park has been granted permission by Scarborough Council to build two 250m zip wires over its second-largest lake.
Patrons will be able to ride the wire from atop a tower before rapidly descending along the length of the lake in full. There is presently no fixed date for the attraction’s opening, but the North Yorkshire Water Park hopes it will be operational early next year, reports local media. The zip line will be constructed by Technical Outdoor Solutions, and it is expected that the zip line and the new climbing wall will be available in early 2022. David Steel, Chief Executive of Dawnay Estates where the park is based, says: “This is another significant milestone for us at North Yorkshire Water Park, as we commence the building of another headline attraction.“We have invested over £1 million into the business over the past year, and the zipline is a key part of our vision for the site, which has enjoyed huge popularity particularly this summer since the major expansion of facilities.
