Australian trampoline venue, Sky Zone, will make adjustment |
Australian trampoline parks operator Funlab, is closing its Sky Zone venues in Alexandria, Sydney and Macgregor, Brisbane. The company said that due to industry-wide trends of rapidly increasing costs and the significantly diminished availability of insurance for trampoline parks, it has regrettably decided to close the two venues. The Alexandria venue had not reopened since the easing of the pandemic restrictions in New South Wales and the Queensland site had closed in December, 2020. “We would love to thank the millions of jumpers who have visited us over the past seven years since opening as well as the staff who have worked during this time,” said Funlab CEO Michael Schrieber. He noted, however, that the company was launching a new concept in the Alexandria precinct in 2022 that would bring "a new and innovative experience" for customers in the area. Sky Zone staff have the opportunity to join other venues in the Funlab portfolio, including the Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq, located at the Alexandria precinct in Sydney and Toombul Shopping Centre in Brisbane as well as other brands, including Holey Moley Golf Club and Strike Bowling Bar.
