Reversal of its fortunes, UK bowling company plans 14 new venues |
All lanes of UK tenpin bowling operator Hollywood Bowl in England and Wales are reopening in the third week of May. However, due to the regulation of pandemic control, there will be seating dividers between guests, restrictions that demanded an early closing time and limiting groups to a maximum of six people. Due to the lockdown of pandemic outbreak, the company has lost £14.5m. The company’s first-half loss compared with a first-half profit last year of £15.2m. Its revenue was also down, by 83 per cent. However, the company still has expectations for future operations and will plan 14 new venues, hoping for a reversal of its fortunes to meet new consumer entertainment business opportunities after the pandemic.
