Merging and growing VR/AR market providers |
Major provider of VR venue management software SpringboardVR has been acquired by Vertigo Games, the VR publisher and developer. SpringboardVR specialised in the content for location-based entertainment and was founded in 2017, building up to a position where it offered over 400 VR titles working with 500 companies in 40 countries. Now, Springboard's founders and development team have founded a new company, ArborXR, to manage devices, content and users in the VR ecosystem. It is already being used by several Fortune 500 companies, independent software vendors, educational institutions and SMBs.
“ArborXR is a natural evolution for us – we always saw the transformative power of VR beyond entertainment,” said Jordan Williams, co-founder and COO of ArborXR. “We’ve already built a commercial VR solution managing thousands of users, devices and content titles, so we have translated that to ArborXR, which is purpose-built to make it easier for companies and content providers to deploy enterprise VR at scale. We are thrilled to invite companies and studios to join our partners using ArborXR for their enterprise XR needs.” (2021/03/09)
