Family entertainment centres (FEC) in New Zealand can now reopen without any restrictions such as social-distancing or capacity limitations, as the country moved to Level 1 in its four-tier Covid-19 alert process. Prime minister Jacinda Ardern announcing the lifting of almost all of the restrictions on all types of business across the country this week, considering New Zealand to be virus-free, although entry to the country from international destinations is still restricted. The country went into lockdown on March 25 with a four-stage plan to return to normal. It moved to Level 3 in April, opening up takeaway food shops and some non-essential businesses opening; then with the continued decline in the incidence of the virus, it went to Level 2 in mid-May.
