London Resort theme park to open in Kent in 2024 |
London Resort Company revealed new images for its planned £3.5 billion theme park, set to open on the Swanscombe Peninsula in Kent, England, in 2024. The 535-acre project will feature a High Street area with a water park, hotels, restaurants and shops, and six themed islands - The Kingdom, The Jungle, The Woods, Starport, The Isles and The Studios. Work on the two-park resort is expected to begin in 2021 with the second park set for a 2029 debut. The entrance to the resort will be via a grand plaza that leads hotel guests and visitors through a High Street which will be bustling with shops, restaurants, hotels, a convention centre and a waterpark. The new theme park destined for Kent is set to be the biggest to be built from scratch since Disneyland Paris in 1992. (2019/12/13) |
