Hot! VR Ninja Dojo at IAAPA 2018 |
Japanese virtual reality developer Five For was to debut its new VR Ninja Dojo at the IAAPA trade show in Orlando in advance of its launch next February in Kanda, Tokyo. VR Ninja Dojo is a fresh experience combining training, performances by ninja masters and a final test in battle to provide an immersive ninja experience. Visitors actually dress in ninja costumes and begin with VR training under a ‘master’, learning swordplay and martial arts and then face a test to earn their status as full ninja. They will use VR technology to enter a digital world and employ their weapons to defeat enemies in a battle experience. Onlookers can also observe the action, through exterior monitors without wearing VR headsets but using mixed reality technology. The first VR Ninja Dojo location in Kanda, will be aimed at foreign visitors to Japan, said the company. The venue has authentic traditional décor and professional ninjas will be on hand as instructors. The opening will be on February 10. (2018/11/28)
