LBVR set for Malaysian debut |
South Korea’s largest telecommunications company, KT Corporation, plans to launch its first overseas VR business in the country, having signed an agreement with Malaysia’ Iskandar Innovations, a subsidiary of IIB to open a VR centre in Johor. The VR centre will be in a major shopping centre close to Legoland, a popular tourist destination in Iskandar that borders Singapore. KT plans to expand the partnership to explore more opportunities in Malaysia. This year KT opened two VRight theme parks in Seoul this year in partnership with GS retail, a major convenience store chain operator. The company plans to franchise its VR entertainment business next year at home and overseas.
