Mario Kart VR coming to the UK (2018/07/19) |
Hollywood Bowl, the UK’s largest bowling operator, has announced that its venue at the O2 arena in London will soon have Mario Kart Arcade GP VR. The game, released a year ago, was previously only available to play in Bandai Namco’s VR Zone arcade in Shinjuku, Tokyo, but will also be gracing Hollywood Bowl’s venues in Tunbridge Wells and Leeds following its August 3 London debut. Using HTC Vive headsets, up to four players can sit in full-size karts and use the steering wheel and pedals to guide Mario, Luigi, Peach or Yoshi through the Mushroom Kingdom. Motion controls are used to physically reach up and grab projectiles to throw at fellow racers. Players can book a playing slot via Hollywood Bowl’s website and the experience will cost £7.99. |
