Japanese arcade center operator NAMCO has opened its first indoor digital adventure playground DOCODOCO in The LOHAS, a large shopping mall in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong. It is also the first DOCODOCO overseas branch outside Japan. The store spans 5,000 square feet and features interactive games and the state-of-the-art digital technology which can respond to children’s dynamics and interact with them in real time. NAMCO has 10 arcade centers in Hong Kong, including SPORTAINMENT ARENA at Telford Plaza, Asobi Park PLUS at PopCorn mall, the indoor playground DOCODOCO The LOHAS at LOHAS Park.
Shuichi Kikuchi, president of Namco Enterprises Asia, said that the playground makes children feel like they are on a fantasy adventure, stimulates their imagination, and creates parent-child time for the family. He also said that they have been in the Hong Kong market for more than 40 years, bringing high-quality services and trendy facilities to the people of Hong Kong. Further to the SPORTAINMENT ARENA (at Kowloon Bay) opened in October 2020, DOCODOCO The LOHAS is another brand new entertainment experience that we have brought to Hong Kong. In particular, as customers’ lifestyles become increasingly digital, gaming facilities have continued to change in the past few years, creating VR/AR/MR immersive entertainment experiences to meet the needs of young and trendy families. In addition, the company is planning to add new business projects to bring more joy to the people of Hong Kong through physical facilities and online experience. (2021/3&4, 195G)
