Earlier this September, Xinjiang Province has been implementing regular epidemic prevention and control measures. Under this premise condition, the Urumqi Waterpark officially resumed operation on September 7. In the following three days, the water park was flooded with visitors every day. In order to follow the epidemic control measures, the park had to limit the number of visitors each day. Urumqi Waterpark South Community Secretary, Ma Yanping said, "Since the re-opening of the park, we have arranged staff to sterilize the entrances and exits at any time every day. Our community has also organized professional sterilizing vehicles to sterilize some major areas such as large amusement facilities and rest areas which are frequently visited by tourists within this more than 1,000-square-meter park. There used to be 100,000 passengers on weekends under normal conditions, but now the park is limited to 5,000 passengers per day."
Member of Urumqi Waterpark Production Safety Office, Xie Xiongren said, "Since the notice of reopening the park reached us, the safety inspection work was carried out by us between each shop. We mainly checked out the key parts of some amusement facilities and required each owner to disinfect their facilities for not less than 6 times a day. At the same time, they are also asked to make records and the park will arrange to check them." Urumqi Waterpark is a park that is integrated with tourism, leisure, amusement, and sightseeing, and is also the only comprehensive amusement park that features landscape art and entertainment in Xinjiang Province. It is suitable for family leisure vacation and is a destination that fits parent-child trip. (2020/10, 191G)
