Being the largest complex water entertainment project in northwest China, Xiaobaihe Hot Spring Water World, located in Baotou, Nei Mongol, is under racing construction and will be opened to the public in June, 2021. The water world covers an area of 844 Mu (about 560,000 sq.m.) and the total floor space area is about 88,000 sq.m. The project includes two phases with an investment of 3 billion yuan (about USD 420 million). The first phase is to cost 2 billion yuan (about USD 280 million), primarily for the construction of a water park, ecological hot spring center, hot spring hotel, ecological park lot, and landscape corridor.
The water park contains two parks; indoor park and outdoor park. It features a tornado slide, aqua loop, lazy river, surfing pool, water slide, a children’s water zone and so on. Wang Qianhuan, from the project constructor - Nei Mongol Chuanze Tourism Development Co., Ltd, is in charge of the primary construction application. He said, “The opening of Xiaobaihe Water World can make up the shortfall of water parks in Baotou, and can help to build a water amusement attraction with ecological landscape, prominent amusement projects, and various theme activities, which is located in Baotou and enhances the collaboration with surrounding cities.” (2020/10, 191G)
