Xiyou Park, located in Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, is under construction. The project is based on "Journey to the West", which takes monk Xuan Zang's pilgrimage to India for some Buddhist scriptures as the basic clue. The park features sound, light and VR, to present scenes such as Mount Huaguo, Gao Lao Zhuang and Leiyin Temple, among others. When completed, it will become a cultural tourism resort integrating entertainment and education, performance, animation, film, television, business catering, leisure and vacation. According to information, with an investment of ¥3.084bn ($447.8m), Xiyou Park is the core project of the Xiyou Group, which features an area of 560mu(373,333sq.m), 8 areas and 25 projects. At present, 39 projects such as “the Monkey King Was Born” and “Lei Yin Temple” are under construction and all of the projects have sealed their roofs atop the concrete and steel frame. 8 indoor projects such as Monkey Hit Lady White Bone Thrice and Taking Palm-leaf Fan by Strategy are under theme packaging construction, while 15 sets of outdoor equipment such as Hot Wheels and Samsara have been basically completed.
