Zengcheng Baishui Village Waterfall applies for National 5A Attraction |
The Chinese Culture and Tourism Festival of Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Town Co., Ltd. 2020 & The Launching Ceremony of Zengcheng Baishui Village Waterfall’s application for National AAAAA Level Tourist Attraction was held at the Brand Hall of Overseas Chinese Town in Guangzhou (within Zengcheng Baishui Village Waterfall attraction) on the morning of 15, July 2020, themed “Good Things Happen as Expected and Travel with Joy”. If successful, the attraction will be the first 5A scenic spot in Zhengcheng District. There are in total 14 5A attractions in Guangdong, two of them located in Guangzhou, namely, Guangzhou Chimelong Tourist Resort and Baiyun Mountain.
On the same day, Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Town Co., Ltd. (GZOCT for short) signed with Zhengcheng District Government a cooperation framework agreement named The Project of Comprehensive Tourism and Urban-Rural Integration-Baishui Village Waterfall. It has also signed strategic cooperation agreements with companies and associations such as, Squirrel Agriculture, Kunming Tongpan Education, Guangzhou Canoe Union, and Cloud Street Club. This marks the beginning of the reconstruction of Zengcheng Baishui Village Waterfall and its application for National 5A Tourist Attraction. The attraction has made big progress in developing cultural tourism.
GZOCT won a new round of 20-year operating rights for Zengcheng Baishui Village Waterfall in 2019, the reconstruction of the attraction and the application of National 5A Attraction were begun subsequently. In accordance with the overall requirements of the tourism development plans at all levels, GZOCT will develop the attraction through investment, construction, management and promotion. Not only that, it also plans to win the title of National 5A Attraction within five years. Seizing this chance, GZOCT will introduce more cultural tourism programs into Zengcheng to boost local tourism and to gather momentum for village revitalization and local economic growth by shouldering its corporate responsibilities and carrying out its missions.
