Development seminar of the Game & Amusement Industry(referred as GAI below) was held at Guangdong Game & Amusement Culture Industry City on 12th, June, whose theme was to follow the instruction of Lai Zehua, Secretary of Zhongshan Municipal Committee of the CPC and Director of the Standing Committee of Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress on how to better develop GAI. The conference was attended by government officials Luo Jianhua, director of Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcast-TV, and Tourism, Chen Youxing and Ding Jun, Secretary and member of the Party committee of Gangkou town and local leading enterprises, like, Jinma Rides, Golden Dragon Group, UNIS Games.
Heads of enterprises shared their opinions proactively and analysed the local development of GAI. They believed that the industrial chain is relatively complete and the local GAI is of some influence; however, there also exist disadvantages like small industrial scale, lacking of prominent companies and capital accumulation. Some companies have to seek resource integration, listing financing or new business branch, such as film and television, cultural and creative industry and animation for a higher market share. Given this, they do hope that the government could offer support in terms of policy, talents, and funds.
Chen Youxing pointed out that over the years governments both at municipal and town levels have spared no effort to develop GAI. Enterprises should have confidence and form joint strength to expand the industry. He stressed, first, we must value the importance of planning, which means we should draw and carry out short and long-term plans according to the reality. Second, we must enhance our products’ core competitiveness, creativity and the scale of online revenue. And third, we must enlarge industrial clusters by implementing the plans of expanding enterprise above designated size and full support should be given to small and micro potential enterprises at the primary growth stage to help them reach a certain level.
Luo Jianhua said that with many large-scale cultural and tourism programs to be initiated or finished in Zhongshan and the main line of Shagang about to open to public traffic, local GAI will encounter new opportunities. Enterprises must grasp the chances and realize an integration between planning and operation, and between online and offline platforms with confidence. (2020/07, 188G) |
