Double slide family playground to debut in Taipei |
Built at a cost of NT$ 21 million, Taipei’s new inclusive playground “Tianmu dream playground” was officially opened on May 4th. The park combines the characteristics of the Tianmu Baseball Stadium and designs four major themed recreational facilities such as a baseball-themed area, an inclusive sandpit area, a landscape slide area, and a zipline rotation area to allow children to improve sensory integration and learn social skills while playing. The baseball-themed slide in the park is composed of 4 balls and two slides, creating the first 9 meter high baseball-themed park equipment in Taiwan. At the same time, considering the safety protection of children's games, camphor wood chips with elasticity, cushioning force and natural fragrance have been layered on the bottom layer. In addition to baseball-themed equipment, in order to build an inclusive environment, the outer walkways of the playground are made of blue PU material, and barrier-free moving lines are planned to let the strollers and wheelchairs move easily around the playground, following the gentle ramp up to the terrazzo slide area.
