On December 16, 2016 Adores Inc. opened the VR Park Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo to let everybody easily experience diverse VR games. With the year 2016 regarded as the dawn of the VR era, many companies in the industry have introduced various VR-related devices and services. For example, Adores and Gree have cooperated and combined their strengths to launch the VR Park Tokyo. This amusement center is located in a perfect area about a five-minute walk from the Shibuya Station.
Two companies, Adores and Gree, cooperate to open the VR Park Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan and introduce a variety of VR games.
Among the seven amusement facilities operated regularly, there are two original VR games jointly developed by Adores and Gree. It costs one person 3,300 Japanese yen for 70 minutes of unlimited gaming or 2,900 yen per person if two or more players go to the VR arcade together. For playing less than 30 minutes, it costs 1,500 yen for one person. The admission tickets come with unlimited drinks and a game coupon that can be used at all Adores arcades and offers up to 1,500 yen off.
The VR games currently offered include: the VR baseball game “Battle! Hachamecha Stadium VR”, the cooperative gun shooting game “Cooperation! GHOST ATTACKERS VR”, “Solomon Carpet VR”, an adventure game involving riding a magic carpet, the theater horror game “Experience! Horror V”, and “OBAKEREA VR Creeping Terror”, a game featuring escape from high altitude. The arcade will add “Dive Hard VR”, a VR bungee jumping game. (No. 152GTI/April 2017)
