Would the game (amusement) industry be affected by Brexit, which has caused the British pound’s dramatic fall?  With the Philippine’s new president coming into power, would the landscape of the gaming industry in the country change?  If Vietnam lifted the ban on local residents entering Vietnamese casinos, would the move impact gaming halls or casinos of neighboring Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar?  In another matter, the Brazilian senate has postponed its vote on casino legalization until August and everyone is eagerly waiting.  Once the largest game (amusement) market in South America, the Brazilian market has a chance to return to its glorious past.  In addition, Mexico is discussing new laws that would encourage foreign investment in the casino industry.  The world is changing every moment, and especially with advancements in the Internet and mobile communications, the butterfly effect is increasingly significant.  The game (amusement) industry is indeed deeply influenced by politics and economics.

While European and American markets are still recovering at a sluggish pace, identifying new markets and spotting new business opportunities have become the “assignment” that many industry members have been striving to carry out.  Held every two years, Fun Asia Expo will take place this August at the Jakarta International Expo in Jakarta, Indonesia.  Fun Asia Expo has received a lot of attention because ASEAN now has 10 member countries with a population totaling 620 million people and the ASEAN economy is booming as a whole.  In particular, China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative and Taiwan’s “Go South” policy have placed their focuses on ASEAN.  Therefore, this bright star of tomorrow has become the new strategic target market of various industries in many countries.  Going to Indonesia to participate in Fun Asia Expo, GTI will provide firsthand information on the show and the market.  Please continue to pay close attention to the “GTI Eyeing ASEAN, Moving into Indonesia” expo participation and visitation activity.
